Abstract



ABSTRACT - Administratively, the study site is located in the Mutiara, samboja subdistrict, kutai regency, east
Kalimantan Province. UTM coordinates are located at (Universal Transverse Mercator) zone 50 S area of
research situated in : 507094mE - 512000mE and 9895000mN - 9898000mN to the area carefully situations ±
15 km2 (3 x 5 km). Research area can be divided into three (3) units of geomorphology, namely : the shape of
the structural origin of landforms eroded hills (D1), the form of fluvial origin with body landform river (F1), and
floodplain landforms (F2). Drainage pattern that develops in the research area is parallel drainage pattern that
reflects that the research area has the same resistance rocks and sedimentary topography horizontal or oblique
and categorized as young geomorphology stadia. The lithology of the area consists of unitsclaystone
Balikpapan, units sandstone Kampungbaru and units precipitation alluvial. Between units claystone Balikpapan
and unit sandstone Kampungbaru stratigraphic relationships are not aligned because of differences in the time
gap, and then on the top of unitsedimented sandstone Kampungbaru are not aligned with alluvial precipitation.
Based onfield observationsanddrill log‟s analysis, research area consists of two different lithologies so that can
affect the type of aquifer production wells contained on, in the form of free aquifer and aquifer pressure. The
ability of lithology and the presence of underground water, the research area contained groundwater flow
through the spaces between the grains which have sandstone lithology, quartz sandstone, siltstone and
claystone. Based on an analysis of testing Slugtest permeability values obtained (K) between 0,1123. 10
