FAKTOR PENDORONG PEMULIHAN HUBUNGAN ANTARA AMERIKA SERIKAT DAN ARAB SAUDI PADA MASA PEMERINTAHAN PRESIDEN DONALD TRUMP

Abstract

The United States and Saudi Arabia had face a complicated relation after 9/11 Attack. Efforts to restore relations have been done since the reign of President George W. Bush and President Barack Obama, and relationship restoration successfully made during the reign of President Donald Trump. The relationship between the United States and Saudi Arabia has been going on since 1933, both countries are also known to have privileged relationships. Cooperation between the two countries also covers various fields such as, the economic field in oil cooperation, the political-security field in counter-communism and regional security cooperation, and the socio-cultural field in health, education and community development cooperation. This research aims to determine the driving factors behind the relationship restoration between the United States and Saudi Arabia during the administration of President Donald Trump.
