Abstract

The ambiguity of PMI's protection in Saudi Arabia is a great homework for the Government of the Republic of Indonesia as a policy maker to protect the Riyal hunters and the names of foreign exchange heroes carried by PMI are not comparable to their sacrifices while they work in a placement country. In this study the authors used vulnerable time from 2011-2018 by using qualitative research methodology by collecting data from books and other documents and in-depth interviews with several speakers who understood and was directly involved in handling PMI's problems, namely from BNP2TKI, Labor Attache in Malaysia and Migrant Care. From  this study the authors conclude that the Government looks like "playing games" with the protection of PMI in Saudi Arabia which raises many problems and cases. But on the one hand we cannot blame entirely on the state of Saudi Arabia for every case and problem that occurs in that country because indeed in reality the law and culture of Saudi Arabia is not in favor of PMI in Indonesia with all the differences.
