Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore further by comparing how upgrading of the two Tourism Villages, namely Kembangarum Tourism Village in Sleman Regency and Kasongan Tourism Village in Bantul Regency in DIY Province, which of course is inseparable from stakeholder participation namely the Government (both the Central Government and Local Government), private parties and local communities. Each has unique tourism potential, Sumer Human Power and Institutional, Supporting Infrastructure and attractions activities offered to tourists. However, in its development Kasongan Tourism Village was not so optimal because it was only oriented to earthenware crafts. In fact, through accommodation and tourist attractions, local people can maximize the benefits of tourist visits. This paper also tries to identify the distribution (mapping) of actors or actors involved in developing Tourism Village.
