MODEL PERTAMBANGAN PASIR BATU DALAM RANGKA KONSERVASI SUMBER MATA AIR DI SEKITAR GUNUNG PRAU, KECAMATAN NGORO KABUPATEN MOJOKERTO DAN KECAMATAN GEMPOL, KABUPATEN PASURUAN

Abstract

Stone sand mining in Gempol, Pasuruan District and Ngoro, Mojokerto District strongly support government programs of physical development in Surabaya and surrounding areas. However, the presence of the mining has not noticed the carrying power support of the conservation of springs is much needed by the people in the area.

Factors have to be considered in the model mine in the area is horizontal restrictions such as geotechnical design of mine, recharge water area, protected areas and public facilities. The vertical boundary is the water table and landscape aesthetics.

Such limitations must be integrated, so that the environmental impact is mainly springs much needed community can be conservated continuity.

ABSTRAK

Pertambangan pasir batu di Kecamatan Gempol, Pasuruan dan Kecamatan Ngoro, Mojokerto sangat mendukung program pembangunan fisik terutama di Surabaya dan sekitarnya. Namun, keberadaan pertambangan tersebut belum memperhatikan daya dukung terhadap konservasi sumber mata air yang banyak dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat di daerah tersebut.Perihal yang harus dipertimbangkan dalam memodelkan tambang di daerah tersebut adalah batasan horizontal berupa geoteknik rancangan tambang, zona imbuhan (recharge area), kawasan lindung dan fasilitas umum. Adapun batasan vertical adalah water table dan estetika bentang alam.Batasan tersebut harus terintegrasi, sehingga dampak lingkungan terutama sumber mata air yang sangat dibutuhkan masyarakat dapat terjaga kelestariannya.
