Abstract

Kata kunci: Formasi Air Benakat, reservoir batupasir, optimasi produksi, analisis log sumur, cut-off petrofisika, net sand, net pay.

Abstract

Studies on repeating sandstones and claystones of the Air Benakat Formation as reservoir rocks which contained hydrocarbon are interesting and important for production optimization. Wells W-4 and W-7 which located on the wing of the anticline structure and the top of the anticline trap in Field G have complete availability of log, core, and well test data. Well log analysis for the calculation of petrophysical parameters includes shale volume (Vsh), porosity (ϕ), water saturation (Sw), and permeability (k), referring to the flow chart issued by Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities Republic of Indonesia (SKKMIGAS). Determination of the cut-off value of Vsh and ϕ was conducted by cross-plot which validated with well test data to calculate net sand. The cut-off Sw is based on a SCAL fractional flow cross-plot to calculate net pay. Based on the validation of well test data the hydrocarbon contained in the productive layer was oil-based. The value of the calculated cut-off Vsh, ϕ, and Sw respectively: 0.40; 0.10; and 0.70. 1 productive layer obtained at W-4 Well and 7 productive layer obtaidet at W-7 Well, with Sandstone-18 layer being the reservoir layer with the highest net-pay thickness of 52 feet or 15.8 meters.
