Abstract

Dusun Polaman in the village of Argorejo Bantul is a Padukuhan that has developed an integrated farming system with the concept of Minapadi farming, where Minapadi is a fish farming business in rice fields that is carried out simultaneously with rice plants in the same area. The problems faced by farmers in Dusun PolamanĀ  are the shrinkage of land area for ponds which has an impact on decreasing rice production and fish safety problems with frequent fishing theft when harvesting fish and the lack of interest of farmers in developing the Minapadi area into an ecotourism area. So the purpose of this service is to provide special assistance in terms of Minapadi technology, the jajarlegowo system and management of Minapadi farming and ecotourism management by forming Minapadi farming cooperatives and realizing the Minapadi ecotourism area planning master plan. The method used in this service research is a method of direct mentoring and training to the Sedyo Makmur farmer group in Dusun Polaman on optimizing the application of Minapadi technology and regional structuring and ecotourism development. The results of the service carried out in Dusun Polaman have succeeded in helping farmers increase their productivity to be higher with the Minapadi jajarlegowo system, helping the formation of cooperatives to help manage Minapadi farming, and overcoming security problems by establishing a joint security system. In addition, this service research has also helped develop a master plan for the Minapadi ecotourism area in Polaman Hamlet. From the results of this service research, it can be concluded that with the assistance and training, the interest of farmers is increasing to develop a conventional farming system into an ecotourism-based Minapadi farming system.
