PEMANFAATAN LIMBAH TERNAK SAPI UNTUK BIOGAS DAN PUPUK ORGANIK DI KELOMPOK TERNAK SUMBER MAKMUR DUSUN JAMBON BAWURAN PLERET BANTUL YOGYAKARTA

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to improve the skills of the farmer community in making quality biogas and organic fertilizer from cowshed waste from the Sumber Makmur group, Jambon Hamlet, Bawuran Village, Pleret District, Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. The methods in this activity are counseling, discussion, training, practice, and assistance in managing the installations that have been built. The results obtained are household-scale biogas, liquid organic fertilizer and solid organic fertilizer. the sustainability of the quality and quantity of biogas is highly dependent on the quality of the cow's feed, the consistency of the intake of solid waste and water (1:1) in a homogeneous and routine manner. Solid and liquid organic fertilizers produced from livestock manure have the characteristics of an alkaline pH (7.25 – 8.5) that still meet the standards, the organic C content of solid organic fertilizers (18.66 – 21.09%) exceeds the standard, but organic fertilizers liquid (7.33 – 10.64 %) below standard, total nitrogen content, P₂O₅ content, K₂O content of liquid organic fertilizer below standard. Organic fertilizers affect the growth of sweet corn plants.
