Penerapan Teknologi Produksi Dan Pemasaran Digital Dalam Pengembangan Usaha Olahan Bawang Merah Dan Cabe Di Bantul

Abstract


The Community Service Program (PbM) was implemented at the request of the Bantul Regency Government. The problem faced by the Bantul farming community is the decline in the price of shallots and chilies so that farmers experience huge losses. The solution is to sell shallots and chilies after they are processed into ready-to-eat food. The PbM service team collaborates with the SME partner "Miroso" which is managed by Mrs. Supardilah, having her address at Srigading, Sanden, Bantul, Yogyakarta. Miroso UKM utilizes red onions and chilies into processed ingredients in the form of fried onions and chilies and sauces. Constraints faced by partners are product quality that is not guaranteed due to limited production technology. The quality of the products does not meet the standards of consumer desires and if the demand is high, they cannot serve because of limited production equipment. This business also does not have a marketing network because it is still managed conventionally. Meanwhile, it only accepts orders from the surrounding community and from tourists visiting various beaches around Bantul.

The general objective of this PbM program is to increase partner productivity. The specific objective is to increase the ability in production and the ability to market the products. Both solutions must be carried out together so as to get the expected results. Both problems and solutions that must be taken have obtained a common view between the implementation team and partners so that the product is of higher quality and efficiency.

The method implemented is training and production assistance as well as facilitation of appropriate technology that is more effective and efficient for partners to receive training and assistance in financial management, store layout, and online marketing. The training materials use technology transfer media in the form of written modules, shows, and videos as well as hands-on practice in the field. Assistance is also expected to ensure that improvement programs are implemented consistently. The implementation team was assisted by students intensely assisting partners to get out of the main problem. The team also actively involves partners in each activity. This is because partners know for sure the problems they are facing, what they want, and how to run their business in accordance with the updated work system

The activities carried out are providing TTG, training and assistance for efficient production equipment, processing product PIRT permits, and online marketing training and assistance. Procurement of tools for partners is carried out in the form of onion/chili chopper technology and spiner to produce fried shallots and fried chilies. It is hoped that with the improvement of managerial aspects, skills, and tools, this activity will be effective. Increasing the productivity of SMEs makes processed shallots and chilies of higher quality according to consumers' wishes, the marketing network is wider, so that partners get more and more sustainable profits.

The output of this PbM program is the method and application of appropriate technology (TTG) used in the processing of shallots and chilies, a marketing model by utilizing information technology made online, the registration process for PIRT certified products, scientific articles published in the proceedings of national seminars, books on the production and marketing of ISBNs and copyrights, posters, videos, and mass media articles published online.
