PEMBERDAYAAN KWT CELUNGAN MELALUI PEMANFAATAN SAMPAH ORGANIK

Abstract

The increasing waste problem can have a negative impact on life. Inorganic and organic waste can be obtained from various sources, one of which is household waste. In Celungan Village, household waste is a problem that is still difficult to solve. The management of organic and inorganic waste has not been running well in this village. In addition, the Women Farmers Group in Celungan Village is experiencing obstacles in increasing farming yields. Therefore, this Community Service programme focuses on scheme-2 by utilizing the yard as a potential land resource to create family food availability, provision of medicinal materials, nutritional sources (vegetable and animal), and economic benefits. The purpose of this activity is to increase the economic power of the Celungan Women Farmers Group to support their survival. This program was implemented in Celungan Village by addressing three main issues: (1) KWT Celungan members who do not understand organic waste, (2) lack of knowledge about organic waste processing, and (3) lack of knowledge about business management. The planned solutions include: (1) counseling on organic waste, (2) training on making liquid fertilizer, (3) capacity building on financial management knowledge, and (4) capacity building on human resource management and marketing knowledge. Target outputs include: (1) one ISBN proceedings article, (2) mass media publications, (3) books, (4) posters, (5) IPR books, (6) activity videos, and (7) increased partner empowerment.
