Abstract

The rapid development of technology, especially in the digital and internet fields, has a significant impact on the marketing industry. There is a shift in trend from conventional marketing done offline to digital marketing done online. In the tourism sector, this technological development provides enormous benefits for both the management of tourist attractions and tourists. However, in some tourist attractions such as Tourism Villages managed by local residents, there are several obstacles to marketing tourist attractions with digital marketing. The lack of understanding of technology is the biggest obstacle for Tourism Village managers to attract visitors. The purpose of this activity is to improve skills in using and utilizing social media as a means for digital marketing in Tourism Villages in Sleman. There are three partner problems that will be addressed in this PbM programme, namely: (1) Resources: people who manage promotions need to improve their skills and expertise, (2) They do not understand and are not proficient in how to operate technology to support marketing. Solutions and plans for PbM activities from these problems are: (1) Creation of marketing content to be disseminated through social media, (2) Counseling and training on the use of social media, (3) Content assistance for marketing.
