PEMBUATAN WEDANG UWUH CELUP DAN LOTION ANTI NYAMUK DI KELOMPOK TANI DESA TRIHARJO, BANTUL, DAERAH ISTIMEWA YOGYAKARTA

Abstract

Indonesia has abundant natural resources, one of which is empon-empon, which is categorized as a traditional herbal plant and spices. Although the price in the market is relatively low, with the product diversification, there is a large opportunity to increase the selling price of empon-empon. Lemongrass is one type of empon-empon that is widely cultivated by the community to extract its oil. Lemongrass oil is useful for increasing the immune system, lowering blood cholesterol, improving sleep quality, relieving pain and also as a mosquito repellent. In the yards of residents in Tirto, Pandak, Bantul, Yogyakarta, there are still many idle lands that can be used to plant empon-empon, which then can be processed into herbal products with a higher selling price. The Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Triharjo Village needs training in cultivating and processing empon-empon. This community service aims to increase the capacity of KWT in cultivating empon-empon and lemongrass and processing them into various herbal products such as Wedang Uwuh drink and Repellent lotion.
