PENDAMPINGAN MANAJEMEN PENGOLAHAN LIMBAH SAMPAH MENJADI PRODUK RAMAH LINGKUNGAN SEBAGAI PROGRAM PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT DI DESA SUMBERAGUNG SLEMAN

Abstract

The Community Service Programme implemented in Prima Sumberagung Village, Moyudan, Sleman, aims to increase the economic independence of the community through the application of the concept of sustainability. The programme focused on four main problem areas faced by the partners: limited knowledge on environmental protection and sustainability, difficulties in household waste management, lack of skills in fertilizer production and organic farming, and inability to start a fertilizer and organic farming start-up business. The solution offered is through technical guidance related to nature protection, organic fertilizer making, organic farming, and start-up. The targeted outputs include quantitative and qualitative improvement of community empowerment, publication of one scientific article in Darma Journal with ISSN, proceedings of national seminars with ISBN by LPPM, articles in print/electronic mass media, videos of activities uploaded on YouTube, and books with ISBN with copyright from IKAPI publishers. Activity methods include raw material preparation, waste sorting, organic fertilizer making, organic farming, and startup establishment as a new business. This programme is expected to form a community that is more economically independent and aware of the importance of environmental sustainability.
