The rapid development of the Bina Umat Islamic boarding school, which currently in 2024 will have no less than 800 students living in the boarding house, plus Ustad and Ustazah, as well as around 200 employees living in the boarding house, so every day the kitchen at Bina Umat Islamic Boarding School must provides 1000 portions of food three times (3x) meals a day. The main problem is the unavailability of kitchen waste management, both organic and inorganic waste. The use of appropriate biotechnology by processing organic waste with Black Soldier Fly Larvae (BSF) and quality organic fertilizer with economic value, is one way to reduce waste from Islamic boarding schools, so that it does not cause environmental pollution and is healthy for the Islamic boarding school community. The aim of this activity is to process the organic waste of the Bina Umat Islamic Boarding School with Black Soldier Fly (BSF) Larvae and quality organic fertilizer. The methods used in this activity are: Lecture, discussion, training, practice and mentoring. From the results of the activity, it can be concluded that the community at the Bina Umat Muliya Abadi Islamic boarding school (Ponpes BUMA) is very interested in processing organic waste from the cottage kitchen by cultivating maggots and organic fertilizer. Waste management is faster and easier so it can reduce the volume of waste and reduce pollution. The characteristics of organic fertilizer meet Indonesian National Standards. Maggot cultivation and production of liquid organic fertilizer in POC form as plant nutrition. Products from activities can increase community empowerment and income.
