TRANSFORMASI DIGITAL UNTUK PENINGKATAN KESEJAHTERAAN DI DESA PUCANGAN

Abstract

Pucangan Village, located in Sleman, Yogyakarta, represented a rural lifestyle rich in culture and tradition but still faced various challenges, particularly in infrastructure and education. To address these issues, the concept of a Digital Village was proposed as an innovative solution to bridge the digital gap in this area. The Digital Village initiative aimed to connect the people of Pucangan Village with the outside world, providing access to information, public services, and economic opportunities that were previously difficult to reach. By leveraging digital technology, the village was expected to accelerate local economic growth, improve the quality of education, and strengthen social ties among its residents. The implementation of the Digital Village involved setting up Wi-Fi to provide internet access, ensuring connectivity for the entire village. Additionally, it included digitizing resident data onto a website to streamline administrative processes and enhance digital literacy to empower residents with essential technological skills. Furthermore, the development of a village website was carried out to support communication, promote local potential, and increase community participation in various economic and social activities. The Digital Village initiative presents an innovative model for rural development. If successful, it could serve as an example for other rural areas facing similar challenges, helping bridge the urban-rural divide and fostering inclusive growth.
