Penentuan Mean Dynamic Topography di Indonesia dengan Menggunakan Satelit Altimetri

Mean Dynamic Topography (MDT) telah lama dipahami sebagai salah satu parameter penting dalam kajian oseanografi maupun dalam penentuan datum vertikal. Kondisi perairan Indonesia yang unik, karena terletak di antara Samudra Pasifik dan Samudra Hindia, serta belum tersedianya datum vertikal pada Sistem Referensi Geospasial Indonesia (SRGI 2013), menjadikan keberadaan MDT sangat relevan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut. Oleh karena itu, MDT diusulkan sebagai salah satu solusi yang dapat digunakan. Pada penelitian ini, MDT diturunkan dari Mean Sea Surface (MSS) dan undulasi geoid. Nilai undulasi geoid di wilayah Indonesia dapat diperoleh dengan cukup baik menggunakan model EGM2008, sedangkan MSS ditentukan berdasarkan pengamatan pasang surut jangka panjang yang direkam oleh satelit altimetri multi-misi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan MDT di wilayah Indonesia. MDT diperoleh melalui selisih antara Mean Sea Surface (MSS), yang dibentuk dari hasil asimilasi data satelit Topex, Poseidon, Jason-1, GFO-1, dan Envisat, dengan model undulasi geoid EGM2008. Untuk menghasilkan MSS yang akurat, data altimetri terlebih dahulu dikoreksi terhadap berbagai kemungkinan kesalahan, kemudian dilakukan proses collinear dan filtering. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa MDT yang dihasilkan memiliki tingkat konsistensi yang baik terhadap model MDT pembanding, dengan nilai RMS deviasi masing-masing sebesar 2,27 cm terhadap MDT-DTU10 dan 7,48 cm terhadap MDT-CNESCLS13. Selain itu, evaluasi awal menggunakan data in-situ menunjukkan bahwa model MDT yang dihasilkan memiliki residu yang lebih kecil dibandingkan MDT-DTU10 dan MDT-CNESCLS13 pada lokasi pengamatan. Hasil tersebut mengindikasikan bahwa pendekatan yang digunakan berpotensi mempertahankan komponen gelombang pendek MDT pada wilayah perairan dangkal.
