Author Guidelines

1. General Submission Requirements

Authors who wish to submit their manuscript to the Journal of Petroleum and Geothermal Technology must adhere to the following general conditions:

  1. Originality: Submissions must be original, unpublished work, and must not be currently under consideration for publication by any other journal or conference. Any previous publication status must be explained in the comments to the Editor.

  2. Format: The submission file should be in a compatible document file format, such as Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx), OpenOffice, RTF, or WordPerfect.

  3. Adherence to Guidelines: Manuscripts that do not conform to these writing guidelines and the specified format will be rejected by the editors before being sent for peer review.

2. Manuscript Preparation Checklist (Stylistic Requirements)

Authors must ensure their manuscript preparation meets the following stylistic and bibliographic standards:

  • Spacing and Font: The text should be single-spaced and use a 10-point font.

  • Emphasis: Use italics for emphasis, rather than underlining (except for URL addresses).

  • Visual Elements: All illustrations, figures, and tables must be placed within the text at the appropriate points rather than at the end of the document.

  • References: Where available, URLs for all references must be provided.

  • Blind Review: If submitting to a peer-reviewed section, the authors must ensure that all instructions for Ensuring a Blind Review have been strictly followed (e.g., removing author names and affiliations from the main manuscript text).

3. Mandatory Policies

By submitting a manuscript, the author agrees to the journal's core policies:

  • Peer Review: The manuscript will undergo a rigorous Peer Review Process.

  • Plagiarism Policy: All manuscripts will be checked for similarity/plagiarism using tools like Crossref Similarity Check (Turnitin). Unethical content (including plagiarism, data fabrication, or falsification) will result in immediate rejection.

  • Open Access Policy: Upon acceptance and publication, the article will be immediately available to the public free of charge.

  • Copyright & License: Authors retain copyright but license their work under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0), allowing free reuse, sharing, and adaptation, provided proper attribution is given.

4. Submission Steps

Authors should use the journal's Online Journal System (OJS) to complete the submission process, ensuring all submission requirements and manuscript preparation criteria are met.
