About the Journal
Focus and Scope
The Indonesian Journal of Communication Studies (IJCS) focuses on publishing scientific research papers in communication science. Submitted manuscripts should relate to the following fields:
- Media Studies
- Public Relations
- Marketing Communication
- New Media
- Political Communication
- Advertising
- Broadcasting
Peer Review Process
Every article submitted to IJCS undergoes an initial review by the Editorial Board. Manuscripts are checked for plagiarism using Turnitin and Crossref. Articles that pass this stage are sent to Mitra Bestari (peer reviewers) for evaluation through a Double Blind Peer Review process.
Authors will receive reviewer feedback and are expected to revise their manuscripts accordingly. The review process typically takes up to four weeks. Reviewers assess manuscripts based on both substantial and technical aspects. IJCS collaborates with expert reviewers in communication science, many of whom have experience publishing in prestigious national and international journals.
Publication Frequency
IJCS is published twice a year, in June and December.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content, based on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
