Manuscript Preparation
I. General Requirements

Language: Manuscripts must be written in Indonesian or English.

Originality: The paper must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Similarity Check (Plagiarism Policy): The article's similarity score, as checked by tools like Crossref Similarity Check, must be less than 20%.

Template: Authors are required to use the official Jurnal Ilmu Komunikasi manuscript template available on the journal’s website.
II. Manuscript Structure and Components
The suggested structure for the article sections is as follows: | Section | Requirement/Content | | :--- | :--- | | Title | Max 14 words. Must reflect the results of the research. Avoid acronyms or abbreviations. | | Author & Affiliation| Include the full name of the author(s) without academic titles, along with their affiliation and email address. | | Abstract | Maximum 100–200 words. Must be self-contained and concise. Contains: (optional: communication problems), research purpose, research method, research results, conclusion, and research contribution (aspects/methods/findings). No citation is allowed in the abstract. | | Keywords | 3–5 words or phrases that represent the main topics of the article. | | Section Structure | Authors are suggested to present their articles in the structure: Introduction (optional: literature review) – Method – Results and Discussion – Conclusion. | | Acknowledgments | (Optional) Placed before the References section. |
III. Citation and Reference Style

Style: References and citations must follow the APA Style (American Psychological Association).

Reference Management: Authors are recommended to use reference management tools such as Mendeley or Zotero for proper formatting.

Minimum References: Expect a minimum of 15 references.

Primary Sources: At least 80% of the references must come from primary sources (scientific journals).

Secondary Sources: A maximum of 20% of the references can come from secondary data (theses, books, and other relevant publications).
IV. Submission Guidelines

Non-compliance: Any papers not fulfilling these requirements and the detailed Author Guidelines will be rejected by the editors before the peer-review process.

Peer Review: All accepted articles will undergo a double-blind peer-review process.
