Research Integrity and Ethical Principles

Jurnal Ilmiah Lingkungan Kebumian is committed to maintaining the highest standards of scientific integrity and publication ethics. The journal strives to foster an academic environment that upholds responsible conduct of research and ethical scholarly communication. The fundamental principles of research integrity include honesty in all aspects of research, rigor and excellence in research practice, transparency in reporting and communication, and respect for all research participants and subjects, including humans, animals, the environment, and cultural heritage.

Honesty is reflected in the accurate collection, analysis, and reporting of data; proper acknowledgment of the work of others; clear presentation of research objectives, methodologies, and findings; and the formulation of valid interpretations and justifiable conclusions based on empirical evidence. Authors are expected to avoid fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, and misleading claims.

Rigor and excellence in research practice require careful planning, appropriate methodological choices, adherence to established research protocols where applicable, and responsible interpretation of results. Authors must ensure that conclusions are supported by data and that research outcomes are communicated clearly and accurately.

Transparency and open communication are essential throughout the research and publication process. Authors are required to clearly report data collection methods, analytical procedures, and interpretations; make research findings accessible to the scientific community; and present their work openly to both academic audiences and the wider public, where appropriate.

Respect and responsibility toward research subjects and future generations are central ethical obligations. Research involving humans, animals, the environment, or cultural objects must be conducted in accordance with relevant ethical guidelines and regulations. Authors are expected to demonstrate stewardship of scientific knowledge by preserving research data and materials to support reproducibility and future scholarship. The journal fully endorses these principles and actively supports authors in integrating them into their research and publication practices.
