Peer Review Process
Jurnal Ilmiah Lingkungan Kebumian implements a rigorous peer review process involving authors, editors, section editors, and reviewers. The journal adopts a single-blind peer review system, in which the identities of the reviewers are concealed from the authors.
Each submitted manuscript is initially evaluated by the editor to ensure its conformity with the journal’s focus and scope as well as its compliance with the author guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements will be returned to the authors for revision or rejection. Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are forwarded to reviewers for an assessment of scientific quality, originality, and relevance.
Each manuscript is reviewed by a minimum of two independent reviewers within an estimated review period of 1–2 weeks, based on the evaluation criteria outlined in the Article Assessment Form for Reviewers. The average time from submission to publication is approximately 12 weeks, depending on the revision process and editorial decisions.
